Kirkland Urban

THE PROJECT

Longtime client Kirkland Urban looked to Fearey in 2023 to help generate regional awareness for their free and inclusive monthly community events. While popular in Kirkland, the mixed-use center hoped to attract families with children from across the Eastside for their events while also reminding shoppers, local residents and employees working in office spaces at the center of Kirkland Urban’s unique offerings.

OUR RESULTS

Features

Fearey developed a proactive media relations strategy to promote these events via inclusion in widely read event round-up articles and targeted event calendar listings to reach residents in Kirkland and beyond searching for fun, free activities, with a focus on families with young children.

Performance

As part of Fearey’s traditional media outreach, a partnership continued with popular local magazine Kirkland Lifestyle resulting in three pre-event features, six full-page event recap photo spreads, and one full page profile on General Manager Jackie Socha her approach to inclusive events at Kirkland Urban. The magazine publishes monthly and is delivered to all residents and businesses in Kirkland. Media outreach from August 2022 through August 2023 resulted in 36 print and online placements and 225 published event notices on popular digital calendars resulting in 18.1 million + possible PR impressions.

Fearey secured coverage for Kirkland Urban’s popular May the Fourth Be With You event in 425 Magazine’s This Week in A&E section.
