William H. Slattery III, M.D. of House Clinic, appears in the much-anticipated Hollywood remake as doctor treating Bradley Cooper’s character’s hearing loss.
Los Angeles – October 11, 2018 – One of the leading physicians from House Clinic, the world-renowned center for the treatment of ear disease and neurological disorders, has a brief role in the new Lada Gaga-starring film A Star Is Born, which will receive wide release on October 5.
The House Clinic’s William H. Slattery III, M.D took a short break from performing ear surgery and treating disorders such as hearing loss and acoustic neuromas with House’s all-star team of neurotologists and neurosurgeons to appear as a doctor treating hearing loss and tinnitus suffered by Bradley Cooper’s aging, grizzled rock star character. Along with showing how hearing loss can affect individuals and their interpersonal relationships, the film prominently shows an actor using hearing aids.
Dr. Slattery’s stint as a movie star didn’t end on the big screen, as he also attended the premiere of A Star is Born Monday evening in Hollywood, mingling with the film’s stars and musician Lukas Nelson, who collaborated with the stars served as a musical advisor on the film.

A Star Is Born, which is Cooper’s directorial debut, stars the actor as singer-songwriter Jackson Maine and pop star Lady Gaga as his newfound protégé and love interest who soon finds herself in the spotlight.
