The firm adds several key positions, names a new company vice president, and promotes three others
SEATTLE—Feb. 9, 2017—The Fearey Group (Fearey) announced today the promotion of two key team members, hiring of two new staff and the promotion of two additional team members.
Effective immediately, Laura Tufts is promoted to vice president. Tufts previously served as director within the firm. Prior to that, Tufts was director of communications at Seattle Children’s, where she was responsible for the organization’s strategic public relations, market research and the corporate communications programs.
“Since Laura joined Fearey, she’s dedicated herself to our team and our clients in a passionate, caring way that bolsters the way we do business,” said Aaron Blank, CEO and owner of Fearey. “Laura’s promotion to vice president will allow me to stay focused on the strategic direction of the firm’s future, while giving her the path to continue to strengthen our team capabilities and work flows. She will do this while enhancing career pathways at the firm that in turn provide the best client service in Seattle.”
In addition to Tufts’ promotion, Chris Guizlo has been promoted to account supervisor and division lead of the firm’s Professional Services + Real Estate practice. In this leads role, Guizlo is responsible for the daily oversight and management of the practice’s clients and team, which include some of the Pacific Northwest’s most established real estate development, architecture and design, legal and manufacturing clientele.

In addition to the recent promotion of Tufts and Guizlo, Fearey also announced the hiring of a new staff member. Jacque Seaman joins Fearey as an account supervisor within the firm’s Healthcare + Life Science practice after spending nearly seven years in New York working with leading organizations in the nonprofit, healthcare, corporate, startup and consumer industries. Seaman previously led and managed public relations efforts at Sunshine Sachs. Some of her clients included groups like amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, National Audubon Society, Global Green USA, Visiting Nurse Service of New York, Red Nose Day, and PillPack.
The firm is also excited to announce additional new hires and promotions including:
- Madeleine Wilson was recently promoted to serve as an assistant account executive within Fearey’s Consumer + Lifestyle team.
- Madalyn Chau joins Fearey as an assistant account executive with the Professional Services + Real Estate team. Previously Chau worked for Pacific Science Center. She holds a master’s degree in advertising and marketing from University of Leeds (England) and a bachelor’s degree in communication studies in public relations and visual communication design from Eastern Washington University.
- Bobby Whittingham was recently promoted from production assistant to account coordinator on the Professional Services + Real Estate Team.
