The Fearey Group has a motto: never lunch alone. Each month, TFG uses that motto to organize a social media lunch (lovingly referred to as SMLunch™), where we invite social media-minded folks to come together and network over delicious foods.
Each month, SMLunch™ is hosted at a different location. April’s location was the Seattle Goodwill headquarters, and 25 lucky SMLunchers got to eat tasty treats and learn more about Seattle Goodwill’s #Give1Pound social media campaign, which coincided with Earth Day.
The #Give1Pound campaign invited people to donate one pound (or more!) to Seattle Goodwill. Last year, Seattle Goodwill kept over 50 million pounds of reusable or recyclable goods out of landfill.
Donations don’t just help the environment, they also support Job Training and Education Programs right here in our community. Donations make an impact on individuals, families, and ultimately strengthen our community. Last year, Seattle Goodwill helped over 8,700 people through their programs.
The Seattle Goodwill team provided lunch, and had a massive Earth Day-themed dessert bar with delicious treats from Dianne’s Delights and Hood Famous Bakeshop – we’re talking earth-shaped cake pops, squash cheesecakes and cookies with the #Give1Pound campaign logo on them! Cute enough for a good Instagram and tasty enough to eat two (or more), just how social media mavens like everything.
So, what does TFG have up our sleeves for the next SMLunch™? We’ve got some fun things cooking! Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for upcoming SMLunch™ news.
