Google is turning its eye, literally, toward a new project.

“Project Glass,” or “wearable computing,” as The New York Times Bits Blog calls it , is a pair of glassless glasses that integrate several Google-based tools into a virtual screen in front of the wearer, offering advice,  information and connectivity as the wearer moves through their day. As envisioned by Google, the glasses will remind you of your appointments, give you directions or even allow you to woo your significant other from a rooftop in NYC.
It’s Google’s new idea for avid social media users. Right now they’re only being worn by Google employees. But when they hit the shelves will you be waiting in line for days to get your pair?
Update: The gang at Wired has assembled a few tech experts who say the project just doesn’t add up. Have a read.
