Fearey Bolsters its Leadership Team by Hiring Regan Sheehy as Executive Vice President

The new position will help the firm continue to build upon its momentous growth over the last decade

January 24, 2024 (SEATTLE)—Fearey, the most established public relations firm in the Pacific Northwest, announced today the appointment of seasoned communications leader Regan Sheehy as its executive vice president, marking a meaningful milestone in the company’s continued year over year growth.

Regan is a true standout in the public relations industry,” said Aaron Blank, president and CEO of Fearey. “Her extensive experience in PR, along with her impressive track record of leading high-performing teams, will be instrumental in driving our agency goals forward. We are confident that her strategic mindset, operational expertise, and strong leadership capabilities will bring immense value to our team and clients.”

As executive vice president, Sheehy plays a critical role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Fearey by ensuring seamless collaboration across all departments and optimizing team performance. In addition, Sheehy supports business development, crisis response and issues management work, and strategic client initiatives.

“I am honored to join the dynamic and talented team at Fearey and work together to advance the agency’s growth and deliver break-through results for our clients,” said Sheehy. “I admire Fearey’s deep roots in the Seattle area as well as the west coast. And I am particularly excited about its integrated approach to communications that goes far beyond traditional PR.”

Sheehy served in senior leadership roles across various brands throughout the Puget Sound region, including 14 years with the Xbox team at Microsoft, where she directed communications for Xbox Game Studios and the Minecraft franchise, among others. Before Microsoft, she led communications for the Washington State Wine Commission, promoting the Northwest’s award-winning wines, vineyards and wine tourism destinations. Sheehy’s career began at Edelman, where she managed publicity campaigns for national clients, storied Seattle institutions, and civic projects, including the Museum of Pop Culture, Lumen Field, and the Seattle Public Library. Sheehy also co-chairs the corporate advisory committee for the Children’s Tumor Foundation, where she leads fundraising and advocacy efforts for the genetic disorder neurofibromatosis.

“Throughout the last decade, we have diligently pursued a strategic approach to our growth, and now we have reached a pivotal point where the need for this new position within our firm is evident. By investing in our talented team members, we are establishing a strong foundation for the future as we expand our presence in the fields of healthcare, real estate, sports, education, social impact, crisis communications and placemaking,” explained Blank.

In 2023, Fearey partnered with more than 100 companies and organizations and added eight new team members. Highlighting the team’s growth, PRNEWS recognized Fearey as Top Agency Elite 100, Seattle Business Magazine’s Best Companies to Work, and both Puget Sound Business Journal’s 100 Fastest-Growing Companies in Washington and Family-owned Companies lists.
